Having fun tonight doodling

Doodle Doodle!

Each crinkle there is a story to tell

To be informed
This morning reading a facebook message about this new class I was asked if I will be creating my characters in collage mix media. This class will not be about my whimsy characters in collage but it will be about creating collage mix media in your own art fun format in a series of small canvases of your choosing. The class is about an adventure of self expression and exploration. That means you are allowed to created what you like. Each week will be something completely new creating your own subject matter into art. Technique for the first week is about using paper which will be applied to canvas with glue and once it's completely dry it hardens and looks like this. This piece was done by me and I added paint layers in order to get this affect. You must take you paper towel or newspaper or tissue paper and scrunch squeeze pieces of your paper in your hand and then unfold it, not fully. And once it is placed on canvas you will see all this cool small lines and interesting crinkles and ripples forming. The rest is written in my workshop.

You don’t have to use all that is on the list. Use what you have and I’m sure with the findings that you do have you will do beautiful work. The important thing here is for you to have fun exploring.
The workshop will begin in a series of fun techniques that will keep your fingers dancing and your soul inspired.
The goal is to experiment with creative stages in these series of canvases you will be creating.
The first week -  I will teach you how to use special handmade paper as a technique you can use to bring out layers, texture adding glue and water. You can use newspaper or tissue paper. Now once paper is dry and hardened I will show you how to apply your acrylics with a dry old brush to bring out texture.
The second week - we will create contemporary art collage using paper and fabric and paint
The third week - we will create - Urban Wall Art, such as candy wraps, torn magazines, beautiful quotes that you lov, poems, paint  and markers.
The fourth week - Art on your terms - We will create our own unexpected treasures with our findings and other goodies on canvas. Be Creative and expressive

There is so many colors in all of us!

Beauty of the bohemian women

Here I have an Itsy Bitsy Piece I created late last night in freestyle motion done with Papel Carbon, graphite pencil and acrylic on heavy arches protected with fixative 3 x 4.

What I found very exciting and fun is taking a piece of papel carbon lay it over my arches paper and draw as if my eyes were closed. I just imagined my character in my mind and freely drew her. It is fun and freestyle grooving! I love these so much love, love them!

These will look wonderful as a set together in white frames. I am selling them individually, no shipping charge added to them. Now a white frame makes the colors stand out for these lovely pieces as well as black frames, great too!

So much beauty in this piece for it's poetic strokes across the page and vivid colors.
