The heart that beats on faith!

Done in acrylic mix media on three layer wood blocks

The heart that beats on faith!
Hello everyone!! First I want to thank you all for leaving me helpful sweet inspiring comments. You guys are fabulous!! You guys are my cool love love blog buddies and you always make my day.
This piece I created for a friend of mine, he hasn't seen it yet. On my table I have two 10x10 abstract pieces I want to share with all of you. Both are drying not ready to be posted. I'm very excited about the pieces different from what I usually create. I wanted to do something completely different with color and shape and form- non objective, a departure from reality. Some people don't understand abstract for the reason that it doesn't communicate something to them- I understand but there is something so delicious about form shape and composition. I love to experiment, see what else I can do, to explore, to invite, to dance with colors, to challenge myself. I get bored doing the same thing, always need, want to create something that will allow me to more free to splatter all on canvas. To be absolutely naked!! These paintings do not relate to anything but to purely have fun. And when I dare to spill myself in that way I find that I learn something new and interesting. I don't like canvas much but I must say that the two canvas I bought 6 months was quite enjoyable because I didn't stop to think what I was going to create. I just added color and allowing it to guide me. Canvas intimidates me especially big one, I usually work small. But I think that soon I will paint bigger and bigger, the thought is exciting. Hmmmm! let's see yum yum yummy colors. The thing is I need a big place, soon, yes yes!! Trailer doesn't work but big space does!! Oh my, I can't wait to paint bigger!! Well, I need to wait. I'm writing a lot here. So much I want to express. Which reminds me I haven't written in my journal for quite a while. I bought a new journal. I need more art supplies more this more that. Now I'm just blah blah blah. Well goodbye!! until next time, soon!!

Well, I take him inside but he rather stay out and come at 11pm. NONONO!! Well about new home, our home is close to the road. gush, WHAT TO DO!! i HAVE NO IDEA. OH WELL. anyways i CAN'T KEEP HIM IN BECAUSE OF FEAR. He WILL MEOW MEOW SO LOUD. i JUST NEED TO TRUST AND NOT BE AFRAID + I'm ALWAYS HOME, SUCH ANXIETY.

The bond!

done in acrylic charcoal on 100% white rag paper 18x24
sprayed with fixative and matt varnish mounted on a white back drop ready to be framed

The Bond!
My friend who lives here in Falls village had a gathering of friends who just had their babies at the same time. So they decided to do a little party and celebrate. It was the most sweet and beautiful celebration. They were all talking and eating while the other kids were playing. A beautiful sight that was being an outsider looking in watching how they all bond with their kids. Brought a huge smile to my face. And thought hmmmm! that will be me some day bonding with my child and going for long walks through the park and reading children's books. It's such a beautiful feeling having a child. Cheers to all the wonderful mothers out there!!

Love is always full of beautiful colors- mother and daughter

done in acrylic charcoal on 100% white rag paper 18x24
sprayed with fixative and matt varnish
This paper is great for all mediums and it's acid free- I love the texture but I do love 140lb cold press the best. I really enjoy working with this paper great size. They even have a bigger one but I think I'll wait for that until we move to our house in October which is pretty soon, that means that I can decorate my home with all the lovely works I have bought on Etsy and there will be more to buy soon. Can't wait!! The artsy itsy bitsy spill house full of colors. To have other wonderful artists I admire so much hanging on my walls, inspires me and makes me happy. And what I will do is take pictures of them all in my house.

This reminds me I need to call my mother today!! I been thinking about her all week. Hmmmmm! I know she's thinking about me, I can sense her thinking about me. I will call her this evening. I love talking to my mom, we can talk for hours. She's my best friend!!

freedom of speech!

Done in pen and ink on 100% white rag paper - 18x24
Piece is called

Freedom Of Speech!
The birds are symbolic as you can see here flying out of her mouth. A freedom to be open, to take a risk, a chance, a change, to break away from the things you feel might be holding you back. The piece conveys a sense of empowerment- to voice, to speak out, to be heard and making a change. How many times have you felt the need to say something but afraid you might sound foolish or perhaps afraid that you might loose that job or afraid that your spouse will not understand you. afraid you might get laughed at or burn bridges if you speak or even ruin a friendship. You have every right to say how you feel regardless of the outcome. When we don't speak out it gets buried where it doesn't belong. It ruins our power, our sense of self, our integrity, our spirit and our self esteem. So speak your mind with compassion yet with confidence. You will feel good by the end of day.

The brilliant colors of fall!

This piece is done in collage and some parts acrylic on watercolor paper
size - 13x21

I love fall! My favorite season and my birthday is coming up on Sunday. My god it sure goes quick! The big 38! I feel so young! I actually feel like I'm in my early twenties.

When I was doing this piece I remember someone telling me once that I'd be a better artist if I kept myself away from crafting so much with collage. I love collage, I love mix media and I love anything that involves expressing myself in any medium. So he can kiss -you know butt! That's right! This was a gallery owner. He said I did fabulous work but to keep away from the craft stuff-because people don't like so much craft in art- that it is not, considered real art.

I remember that day which was a long while ago. I went home and I started painting without collage and I was so unhappy. I couldn't paint. I was frustrated, angry even. Art to me is a spiritual journey, an adventure, fun fun!!!. It makes me happy to do what I like instead of creating something that someone else thinks is the right way to go- if you want to make it as an artist- what a load of crap I tell you. It takes away the beauty of it, that wonderful spark, the aliveness, that delicious feeling you get from doing what you love and the voice.
What is real art? hmmmmmm! real art is when is created from the heart, deep from the core of your soul, the visual passion that spill on the canvas. The sweet colors that form the essence of your being. I love what I do!!!!!!!!!
So don't he dare or anyone else mess around with my art!!!
That's right!
