I'm back with new paintings and there will be more to come!
Piece Title
Hello, would you like to be my friend!
I love this piece!
It's done on stonehenge paper 20x30 in mix media collage stitch work acrylic charcoal with  stitch border around the image.

Oh one more thing before I forget. I will be out tomorrow morning for surgery Feb 19th. If you decide you want to purchase a piece know that I'm in the hospital and know that I would have to ship the pieces next week. Well I will take my surgery like a champ and hope everything turns out well. I will pray tonight for a miracle. To be a mother is so important to me!

It's wonderful to be an artist because no matter where you go, you take the colors with you!
This one is another piece done in the same medium - collage stitch work acrylic charcoal with stitch around the border on 6x8  Hand made 140lb cold press Vincent Rossini Watercolor paper.

Doing it the artist's way series

Did you guys have a lovely Valentine's Day? I hope you all did! We stayed in. We went for a long walk in the woods out back and walked and walked. It was lovely!! Then we came back and had a big breakfast. He made breakfast, that was real nice! Then I gave him a handmade card and he gave me flowers. Then he said he had another surprise and took his shirt off. His chest was covered in red marker saying I love you in big bold letters! I laughed and thought how sweet and adorable!!! Then I gave him a big kiss MUA! Then we watched a movie together cuddling and had popcorn and wine. You are all my Valentine's day too, for your lovely comments, support, and inspiration.  I will give you all a big kiss MUa Mua!!
Doing it the Artist's way!!
I'm going to talk a bit about why I called these pieces Doing it the Artist's way!
It's about artists exploring and spilling!
It's about being completely naked. Seeing the images come into play and enjoying the flow your way without any boundaries, no limits . Doing it your way is the essence, the core, the passion that comes to the surface, the fire spreading across the canvas, you and only you!! Doing it your way is the only way!

This one is at bit bigger 8.5x11 on stonehenge paper done in mix media - collage stitch work, acrylic and  charcoal with stitch border around the image but not not on wood panel

Living life as an artist!

I'm having soooooooooooo much fun!!!!!!
I just finished this piece this morning. And love how it turned out. I absolutely love mix media.
A combination of things all put together so nicely. Hey guys thanks for all your lovely comments here.
I enjoy sharing my work with all you beauties. Art keeps me sane, without it I don't know what I would do. When I was a little girl all I would do is doodle all day and my mother would get a phone call from my teacher complaining that I did not want to do work but paint and sketch. I was 5 year old. And she said, Magaly you need to also do your homework mi amor para cuando seas grande puedas ir a una escuela de arte. So when you get older you can go to a bigger art school. And so I did!

Painting your true voice

Hello to all you beautiful artists out there!! It's a snowy day out here and I love it. You would think that a Latin woman like myself would just hate the cold. But I don't! I actually like it very much. I was born in the fall when all the the leaves change colors and winter is just around the corner, it's beautiful! I must say that when it does get below zero, I turn into an  ice statue, yikes! I hope all of you are having the best time creating and having so much fun. I'm in love with all of you lovely artists who make the days special with inspiration and warm comments. I heart you all!! Every single person I've come across here represents so much beauty and support. Here's to art and to all of you!!!
Un grand beso para todos por ser  maravillosos en el mundo del arte y la amistad!

I want to share another piece which I'm sure some of you have seen on Flickr or here. And because I love it so much I decided to paint another version of it.

Part two - Painting your true voice!

Done in acrylic, charcoal and collage tape 14x17 on stonehenge paper

playing dress up!

Play and dress up!

This is another piece I just finished and it's done in acrylics on 22x30 100% stonehenge paper protected with fixative.

When I was a kid I play dress up. Sneakily I would go into my mother's room and get out the dresses and the make up and put on some music and dance dance dance. I add on red wine lipstick to my cheeks and dance like Madonna. It was pretty funny!

My itsy bitsy heart made of yarn and felt

These itsy bitsy Handmade heart necklaces are done in felt, wool and nylon colorful yarn. The cord is made of hemp with loop that slips nicely around button.
Valentine is just around the corner!! - These heart necklaces make a lovely gift and a gift for yourself as well

About me today, as I mention in my other post just below this one  - I been busy with a number of things. One, my surgery is also right around the corner on February 19th. It was decided by my Doctor to have this done as soon as possible. And to tell you the truth I am nervous and a bit scared about it. There is a possibility I might lose my uterus entirely and I'm keeping my fingers cross that it won't. I want to have a child! I'm staying positive and keeping busy working  on my art. The days and months are going by so quickly and here we are in Feb.
I also want to discuss and apologies for not updating  my second blog called itsy bitsy doodle. And really I should have waited a little bit longer due to all that is happening right now I feel I have neglected my blog and you - so forgive me please and don't forget me. Trying to remain so focus and not worry myself to death. I'm painting like crazy to channel everything with love and patients. But sometimes fear can get a hold of you and the only thing one can do is breathe and keep going and know that that you are blessed. I remind myself of that everyday and smile and say it will be okay. I want to thank you for all your lovely comments and inspiration. It's wonderful to have an empire of beautiful talented artists supporting each other the way we do.
Here's to all of you who make the days brilliantly special!

And before I forget. For those who don't know about Etsy love and technorati - please take a look! It's a wonderful way to get your art out there and share it a with body of buyers and art Community. Take a look!

More lovely paintings!
