The birds are symbolic as you can see here flying out of her mouth. A freedom to be open, to take a risk, a chance, a change, to break away from the things you feel might be holding you back. The piece conveys a sense of empowerment- to voice, to speak out, to be heard and making a change. How many times have you felt the need to say something but afraid you might sound foolish or perhaps afraid that you might loose that job or afraid that your spouse will not understand you. afraid you might get laughed at or burn bridges if you speak or even ruin a friendship. You have every right to say how you feel regardless of the outcome. When we don't speak out it gets buried where it doesn't belong. It ruins our power, our sense of self, our integrity, our spirit and our self esteem. So speak your mind with compassion yet with confidence. You will feel good by the end of day.
