A commission piece
Painting with stitches and fabric
wall art - done in decorative fabrics and stitch work
Having creative freedom always allows me to have fun and not restricted by the demands of detail. But going absolutely buck wild with what I see and what I feel.
Design and color play a major part in what I do. I trust the process as I go along creatively. Sometimes I make mistakes but the result of those mistakes are beautiful and worth working with. My art at times can be personal, political, emotional, playful and times defensive. It really depends on my mood. I'm an emotional person and happy I can bring that out in many ways when it comes to art. For me art is my therapy. It has helped me in ways that I can say I'm grateful to have a gift that allows me to express. I wear my feelings and paint them, it's who I am. I'm comfortable being in my skin.

I call those mistakes, "happy mistakes!" I love your little stitched painting, but then there's nothing you've created where I can say "meh!!" LOL
ReplyDeleteIt's obvious your very comfortable in who you are and where you're going. I wish I could have been that way as a young woman, but that was a different life, that was then, this is now and I'm very happy being in the "now!" Better late than never, right????
Have a wonderful weekend and take care...keep creating.
Besos,
Georgina
So much fun!!!!
ReplyDeleteI remember when I first came to your blog a long time ago and found your beautiful art. I commented that it would be lovely as an appliqued piece.
ReplyDeleteOH MY! Yes! Just beautiful!
